| European alpinist alexey bolotov dies on mount everest Face Alexey bolotov, the actual russia's top alpinists, died today after reportedly falling from the camp 1 site on mount everest.Bolotov and denis urubko were North Face Cheap aiming for a 10 day attempt on an unclimbed line on mount everest's southwest face. Facts are still streaming in, but apparently bolotov was climbing down a rope that was stretched over a sharp rock edge, along with the rope broke at 5, 600 meters dispatching bolotov 1, 000 feet into the khumbu icefall where he died instantaneously.A sherpa accompanying bolotov went to look for him today and discovered bolotov's unfortunate fall. Bolotov and denis urubko were among three separate pairs of climbers that were to attempt bold new routes on the earth's highest peak this spring.Last month during a shot by ueli steck and simone moro, they faced an unhealthy situation being attacked by several sherpa due to an occurrence on the area between camp 2 and camp 3.It has stirred substantial controversy as to what actually happened.Steck and moro called off their attempt after nearly being killed and threats that they would be killed were made North Face Cheap if they did not vacate camp 2 where the attack took place. Some of alexey bolotov's best ascents had broad peak(8, 047 mirielle), Kangchenjunga(8, 586 d), Manaslu(8, 163 n), Annapurna(8, 091 e), K2(8, 611 meters)Along with cho oyu(8, 201 mirielle).Bolotov received the piolet d'or award together with ascent of makalu(8, 463 mirielle)By the western face in 1998 and another in 2004 for the first navigate of jannu's north face.
